Another scorching Sunday. Are you basking under the sun or are you getting baked instead? The temperature, as I wrote this post, is at 33°C. Not so hot, but I fear it'll get worse later on.
This afternoon's sad song recommendation is Mama Taylor's You're Losing Me. I adore the lyrics because, once again, I can relate to it. It went through the bullseye. I mean, just take a look at the opening lyrics:

Now, I just sit in the dark and wonder if it's time
It feels like being shot three times through the heart, but with a cannon. She reminisces about how good they were at the start of the relationship, but now she feels like they've exhausted all possible options, and only a breakup would ease the pain they're feeling. The light that they basked in the past slowly dimmed, the fire, the spark dying. How heavy is that? I just can't help but sympathize and cry in a corner.
Why does that happen though? Why do I always hear about how fun relationships are at the start? Then they'll gradually start to collapse like it's the frailest thing there ever was. I've also heard that it starts to fall out in the third month like it's a cycle. Do people get bored that easily? Do they only have an attention span that lasts up to three months? What a peculiar thing to happen, it's funny.

Taylor takes the cake when it comes to coming up with the most creative lyrics, depicting even an immortal creature succumbing to the power of love. Only a few people get lucky in the game of relationship; be proud if you're one of them. If you think you are not, however, everyone gets their chance. Patience will undoubtedly lead to your reward in the end.
